A Recollective Summer

The spring sprung summer flowers.
Painted in a palette of pleasing color.

Delicately made, in form and beauty.
Smothered with intricate detail.
Assailed by the buzz of fur critters.

Summer sprung a trip to the beach.
Toes in the sand.
Waves serenading.

Sea soaked air heavy with the breath of the ocean.
Amusing merriment of children at the shore for the first time.

Summer sprung water slide leaks of glee-filled squeals raining down.
A thrilling cool rush of gliding immersion.

Bright smiles awakening adventure in rally chants.

Summer sprung bright colors on toes and fingertips.
Lighting our world.

Brilliantly pretty. Brilliantly girly. Brilliantly bonding.

Summer sprung memories of Mama’s pizza with lots-o-cheeeeeze. Trips to the local swimming pool, lounging in the lazy river, and cowering under the rainbow spout.

Purple Cow milkshakes, late bed times, sighting bats at dusk, new puppy cuddles, McDonald’s fries, and the many, many (did I mention many?) shows on Disney.

Summer is memories. Summer is fun. Summer means celebration, and freedom.

Sounds like you had a great summer. And you documented it so well. You will be able to look back on it for years to come!

Some of my best memories as a child were of summer–I am certain your family has created many of those for your crew this time as well.
