They’re here. The dog days of summer, where it’s too hot to do anything.
Anything active anyway……or anything that requires energy.
This is one of the hottest summers I can remember and we are not even half-way through.
So, I’ve taken note of how to spend the dog days of summer by emulating my black lab. Enjoy the AC when inside and when outside….jump in the pool for a refreshing swim.
Be sure and test the water with your toe paw first.
Then, relax and enjoy a nice summer soak to cool off.
Don’t forget to stay hydrated.
And wear sunscreen to avoid the burn, unless you are already dark (heh).
In throes of summer sizzle, I highly recommend a littel dip.
Enjoy a dog kind of day and stay cool!
Smart dog!

Nice you guys did that for your dog! He must be so grateful 🙂 Here at the coast of Southern California, the temperature is not too hot, just about 77 Degrees. I’ve been to Kansas City and Tennessee last week and it was hot there and so humid! I do not envy you now 🙂

Love labs. It is so unbearably hot in Miami with humidity too it just saps all your get up and go. I have not attended any daytime outdoor activity in years. It does not let up till mid October.

I wonder why dogs always get blamed for the heat? Like they came up with this novel idea. We are the ones with hair all over our bodies so lets make it hotter to make things even more uncomfortable for us.

Very clever – yes, it’s hot out there, so we better stay cool!

I thought it was hot here in Mass. Not even close.
Stay cool. I will stop complaining…for sure.

You forgot find a shady place to lay (like under the trampoline). That’s another one my lab taught me. Lol.
We have had some really hot weather too and if I’m not hanging at the lake, I try not to leave the house! Lord help me if the AC breaks!

Aww fun! Oreo isn’t a fan of water so I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t go for this kind of thing, but I totally would, haha!

It’s not the heat that kills me…it’s the humidity!! That’s why I try to stay inside my home while blasting the AC 🙂 He does look mighty cozy splashing around in that pool though!
