I love the butterfly quote and the pics! I went to the butterfly exhibit in DC 2 years ago. It was awesome. Butterflies landed all over me.

Evolution has given the one in the first pick two valuable assets to protect itself from predators. Naturally the color is good camouflage. The large circle is to represent a huge eye which makes predators uninterested because it must be from a huge animal not in their food manifest. It scares them. They love rotten fruit. It’s fermented. They get drunk.
