Saint Matthew UMC Christmas Eve Candlelight Service

We attended our Mom’s Church (and the Church we married in) for Christmas Eve candlelight service.

Christmas Eve is my favorite service of the year. I love the Christmas songs and the scriptures read. I love the candle light and what it represents.

I love the solo performers from the choir and I love the holiness of the quiet peace it brings to my soul.

It was a beautiful service that I am grateful for.

Merry Christmas.

I hope your day is as bright as a candle, and your hearts are happy and glowing with love.

  1. I have my sincere faith in both belief and practice but have not been to church in__________(insert big number) years. Thanks for reminding me how rejuvenating it is.
Even for us somber , unemotional , old Yankee Presbyterians. My favorite hymn is “We’ve
A Story to Tell to the Nations”

    1. A soloist sang Mary Did you Know?, it was amazing. We go with his mom sometimes. I didn’t go to Church as a child, and her Church has been my first experience with Methodist. It’s really great.

  2. Hello,

My name is Kathryn Price, and I work with UMTV at United Methodist Communications in Nashville, TN. My team is producing a slideshow meditation on the unique symbols of Advent and Christmas and their meanings, and in my search for content I came across your photography website. The pictures that appear on this post are the type of powerful photographs I am looking for. I am asking your permission to download the pictures so that I can use it in our piece and hopefully in future UMCom projects. If you have the original photos available, I’d be greatly appreciative if you could send me a copy of the high-resolution photos along with any specific info about who took the photo, when, where, etc.

The final meditation video will be posted to YouTube and the website, and I can share those links with you when the video is complete. I hope you will also share and promote the video that features photographs of your work and your church via social media and other online platforms. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

    Thanks for your contribution,

    Kathryn Price
