Project 52 – Week 1 – Celebrate

Celebrate…that’s a great word to sum up the beginning of our year and the beginning of my Project 52 participation brought to you by Daphne of Ellenburgh Photography.

I decided to do Project 52, a photo every week of the year, because I failed miserably doing the 365 project back in 2010. 365 is a photo every day of the year. I think I made it to day 50 or so……It was real close to the end of February. But daily posting, and taking photographs (with my big camera) just wasn’t happening very easily. I found myself taking photos of knickknacks around the house just to get my photo for the day. Which? Is fine…but I promise, I don’t have 365 knickknacks laying around. Now, the garage is another story…..but I digress.

So, with the nudge of my fellow friend, chic, and photographer Detta Owens. I am participating in the Project 52. One photo a week to a selected theme. Something she has succeeded at three years in a row. Wow!

I hope to do the same. Succeed and celebrate this time next year with her and the Ellenburgh Photography group.

Won’t you join us?

If you are on Flickr, please add me as a contact Angelia’s Photography. Join the Project 52 group here.

****My photo was selected as one of the top artist picks for the week. Yay! You can see it here –> Week One is a Celebration

  1. I will eagerly anticipating your weekly photos, Angelia!

    You GO, girl!

I had several blogging friends of mine participate in the 365 photo challenge last year, and I don’t know how they did it because there’s no way I could have done it myself.

Love the photo you shared in this post. Love how you so clearly and crisply captured the champagne bubbles!

    Bellissima!

    Have a great weekend…..X

  2. Sounds like a great resolution to me! Excited to hear how it goes for you. 🙂

I did the same thing last year – starting up Photo Fridays on the ol’ blog so that I’d be motivated to keep up my photography. It worked!

  3. Good luck with the project 52, looking forward to see what you will capture!

I know what you mean about the feeling of just capturing the knickknacks, there have been times where I felt the same way! 😀

  4. 2013 is a year to be anything we dream about. I am happy for you. Follow where your joy and passion takes you. One of the best ways to celebrate life is to follow what inspires us everyday. Wishing you all the best.

  5. 😀

And great idea, Angelia. I think 365 Project is too much for the participants…. as well as their followers. I don’t discredit them. I still think it’s brave of them to do, just not me.
