A Spring in my Step

Oh, the ways and wonders of having time off. I took this week off from work. My first full week of vacation in two years. I am calling it my “mental health” week. With work being so busy this month, Spring Break with the little girls undertow (while working), and ALL THE MASTER planning of the exhibit starting in April; as in photography show, prints, frames, reception committee, and the utter exhausting task of picking photos. It has been absolutely chaotic. But it is all done…..almost. And I am soooooo excited!

If you are local, please let me know and I will send you our invitation. There will be wine and cheese (with no whining or cheesing allowed – heh) and LOTS of fabulous photos from over thirty different artists all belonging to a group I started with five others gals one year ago called, Chics Who Click. We are honored to have grown to over 240 members in one year. And now to be exhibiting in the rooftop gallery of the Arlington Museum of Art? Well…it is a dream come true and a blessing as well.

So yes, I have been gone. And no, not for good.

And look, I had a make-over of my blog. I loves it! (if you are on mobile, please do click to PC view).

I am springing here and there, and of course, I have my camera in hand.

Spring in North Texas does not last very long. I have to enjoy it as much as I possibly can. I am guessing I have about two more weeks, and that is only because we had a freak cold spell. Which is long gone now. We are having this amazing 70-degree weather with blue, blue skies. Yeah. Like I said, it won’t last much longer.

My week has been fabulous.

I hope you all have a wonderful Easter holiday.

The colors and joy of Spring is every where in Houston as well. I am hoping to catch some blue bonnets adventure next weekend if fate wills it. Today, we captured some white and pink wild flowers around our neighborhood. It was a lot of fun being around them. Beautiful pictures. Happy Easter!

  4. Angelia, thank you for popping over to my place to see our puppers! Nice to meet you. 🙂 Even though I don’t know what your header looked like before, I do love the look of it. And your spring shots make me long for warmer weather! Winter has hung on all to long here in Middle Missouri. Have a happy and blesses Easter.

    1. You know what is funny? I didn’t either! Not until the show was talked about. But yes, they do. It is right by UTA in downtown off Main St. I think Pecan is a cross street. It is an up and coming kind of museum. Lots of local schools exhibit there and I hear they will have an Ansel Adams exhibit next year. Our reception is April 12th – 630pm-830pm. We will have drinks and snacks. Or the museum is open Tuesday-Sunday with free admission.

  5. Ooo! I like this theme much better! Dark doesn’t seem to match you, My Dear. You are bright, you shine. And this exhibit, is that why you have been MIA? And in one post you alluded to wonderful things . . . and wow! Truly wonderful!! Beautiful Spring shots.

    1. I have been away, mostly, because of work. I sit at my desk for 8-10 hours and then I just want to zone out for awhile. I don’t want to think, talk, read or type. We were short-staffed for a while and then ALL the managers changed. It was like starting a whole new job. Hoping this break helps me. 🙂

    Hi Angelia,

Thanks for the visit to my humble blog. Yours is awesome! I have no idea what your old look was but this new one definitely rocks! It’s very late now in my part of the world, so I’ll be back to check out more of yours later.

    Happy Easter!
