About Me

Who am I?

I am a photographer – Angelia’s Photography.

Wife to an incredibly patient, and (most) wonderful man named Jason.

I am a step-mom to his two girls ages 7 and 9.

Mom to one biological child adult (girl) who is 19yrs old, in college, and super awesome. She gave birth to my granddaughter one day after I turned 42. Her name is Averey Elizabeth and she is a gift from God.

I work as a corporate travel agent.

I dream in photographs.

I love with all my heart.

And one day I will see the other side of the world.

I am on a journey…..

You can also find me on Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, and Facebook.

Welcome to my joy!

  1. Hi Angelia: just got around to reading your ‘about me’ (shame on me, I know 🙂 ).

Your life definitely sounds unique! Wow! Anything promising with Jason you think (like something sparkly?) or are you not into that because of the kids?

    1. Jessica, I think something sparkly with Jason would equate to a disco ball kind of brilliance. Seriously! He is a Godsend. His kids are a bonus. I only dated one other guy with kids my whole life (he had 6 yes 6!). I truly feel like my experiences shaped me to be perfect for Jason. Guess we will see what the future holds but it’s looking pretty bright!!! (where are my shades??)

  2. I don’t know where I got the idea you were in Australia. I guess I made the connection with your daughter’s name and boom! I made an assumption. Just now read your profile and found out the truth. I love Texas! Lived in Dallas when I was a kid……more years ago than I can really remember. I do enjoy the light-hearted content of your blog!

    1. Weezer,
Thank you! Glad you like Texas, I bet it’s changed since then. I live in a little burg that still has a country high school my daughter attends. Best of both worlds! Sydney Australia I call her that all the time. LOL.

  7. Lisa- Thank you sooo much for this incredibly kind from-the-heart comment to me. I can’t even tell you how much it means to me that you would take the time to let me know.

So often, I wish I had schooling, writing classes, or even more English instruction. But in the end, I just write what my heart tells me to and it’s usually with massive feelings. I suppose that is something you don’t learn in books.

So thank you, for helping me show what love can do when we come together in heart.

  12. Just read your About Me page, and must tell a story (short)

My DD23 and her friend went to Dallas for the 2nd Cowboy game. They were there about 1 week. She texted me she was looking for things to do, and wanted to Visit Arlington National Cemetery since they were in Arlington, and were going to check it out on the GPS.

Duh, I texted her back, that her GPS was goofed up, because ANC was Not in Texas! All this $$ we spent to send her to college?

    She enjoyed your state though!

  16. Angela,
Not sure if you are interested but I have a beginning reading program you might be interested in for your 4 year old. I’d love for you to review!
I would love for you to review Stepping Stones Together (www.steppingstonestogether.com), my new online and printable reading program for parents to work with their kids ages 3-7 on beginning reading skills. I would happily participate in a free giveaway as well.

I designed this program to address a needed resource I could not find when searching for a parent/child beginning reading program to help my own children, and to provide highly motivational reading resources for parents and caregivers to help their child who is ready to read. I wanted to meet the needs of busy parents, being one myself, and make it easy to use, and it was designed with realistic daily practice commitments in mind. This program can be completed within 15-20 minutes each day, and within just 60 days, you should see a noticeable improvement in your child’s beginning reading skills.

It was very important to me to make this an affordable program so that all parents can join in on my passion to get kids to learn to love to read. I also wanted to get the word out before the summer months to help parents keep new readers on track with their reading even while going off to camp each day.

I hope that you participate in the movement to keep kids reading, and I welcome any feedback that you might have! Please go to steppingstonestogether.com for more information.

  18. Angelia,

Way back when, you left a nice comment in response to my post Speed Blogging, miraculously chosen for Freshly Pressed. As a fellow mom, I’m sure you can appreciate what a blur life can be at times! I just joined the empty nest club, so am finally redefining my “Me Time” and spending more time writing posts and reading blogs. Yours is wonderful! And I just received a new camera myself and can only aspire to take photographs as beautiful as yours!

Your blog is an inspiration! I’m subscribing right now! I have some catching up to do, so perhaps you and Jason are now married. But whether that is the case or the date is still on the horizon, I wish you much happiness!

    All the best,

    Hi Angelia!

I am adding you on my blogroll simply because of what you have mentioned “There is such talent in the world wide web.” and you are one of them. I enjoy reading here and must say that you have brought so much ideas and happiness for it. I thought that if people have joys in writing, there must be a lot of joys in reading. Thank you and God bless!
