The Other Woman

Her name is Eve.

And yes, I know all about her.

I know he dreams about her during the day and steals moments with her at lunch. He spends his nights with her too. I know. And it is devastating.

His heart longs for her. She captivates him.

And after three months of marriage, I can’t compete.

So…she wins. I lose.

She wins his love, his attention, and most importantly his time.

What is a new bride supposed to do? How do I compare to this?

Jason playing with "her".

Ships, lights, graphics, missions, and let’s not forget the battles.

I mean really? Are you serious? You can see how she is so much more interesting.

And in reality, it’s probably not a real girl, like Weird Science type bombshell. I believe EVE is the acronym to the game (but what fun is that?). Besides, she might as well be the other woman. He loves her. Heh.

For his birthday, I even supported his affair. I bought him a state-of-the-art headset with super sound (ships firing off into space) and a microphone to talk to his shipmates. He apparently plays poker, mines the moon, and plays drinking games. At least……I think that’s what he does? Maybe a few rat barbecues. This is a man’s domain (mostly), except it’s called by a girl’s name, and they do manly space things. Mkay?

So, I don’t ask (much) and I don’t know the details (all). Only that you can get killed, but you don’t die. See, your clone takes over and you are still you, but your clone. Get it?

Yeah, me either. If all the fun is in battles and taking over moons to mine, and your best day is killing another dude that doesn’t actually die?!? Well, that’s just seems wrong. And if your worst day is you die, but you don’t? Heck. I think EVE should be a hot chick. That might be more fun.

But in all seriousness, he loves it. It’s his favorite hobby and it really does look cool. So I guess she can be a fling…..for now.

Goodnight Jason.

Goodnight Eve.

Love Smiles

Apparently, the linky last night on iHeartfaces had a technical issues as well, else it opened just for me, and my entry today. Either way, I am able to enter my photo.

Annnnnd??? My WordPress is working. Yeah!

Eskimo Kisses

This photo was taken on a ferry-boat when we visited Houston Thanksgiving.

I love the tenderness and care Jason always shows his children. It was one of the first things I noticed about him. It really sealed the deal for me. I am a sucker for a sensitive, caring man who loves his children. His love is always so obvious and I am glad to have captured a smidge of it. This is absolutely one of my favorite photographs.

Another day, Another post

So far on target with my New Year’s goal. I happen to think that is genius for day two. Of course, I’ve probably lost my subscribers because they are already sick of my constant dribble of posts, updates, and tweets.

Have I?

Are you still there? ~there~there~there~?

Anyway, I am not posting this at midnight since tomorrow is back to work day (noooo!).

Tonight is also the last night of Jason’s birthday weekend. I am taking my man out for sushi. Then hopefully home to watch his new movie (which happens to be one of my favorites), Inception, gee wonder who bought it for him?

It’s been a wonderful 2011. I feel exuberated with life and creativity. I know I will be talking to myself on this blog more. People are busy. People have lives. People can’t come by every day. I TOTALLY get that and do not blame you. I LOVE your comments and if you can leave one – GREAT – if not I still appreciate your support. I cherish your visits whenever they are.

My other goal of the new year is progressing my photography. I am working to learn more of the technical side; camera, business, and photoshop (I got CS5 for Christmas).

I have joined my wedding photographer Bella Lucia Photography on a 365 Project. She created a Flickr group and I have joined the group, pledged to post, and even added my Flickr account to a side widget on my blog. The goal is to post a picture taken that day – EVERY day. I know this (also) won’t be an easy task to keep up with, but again, the goal is to use my talents and grow them.

2011 a year of growth.

My third goal is working on my insides (to outsides). More on that later, but it starts with eating healthier. Period.

I bought a large bag of frozen chicken breasts to steam and eat for lunch starting Monday. I will join the masses (and Jason too) losing weight (We added the loseit app on our iPhones)(it’s really cool!!).

Here is my Day 2 submission for the 365 project.

The best part of my day.

On the count of three

And fun.

A most deserving man.

On his 36th birthday.

I improvised on the candles.

I gave him a card that said…You may be the one making a birthday wish today, but I’m the one with the wish come true, and I thank God for the wonderful life I have with you. (Hallmark)

I am so blessed to be in your life.

You are definitely the yin to my yang.

Happy Birthday with love!

And hey…what do you know? Happy New Year’s Eve…..I think the world is celebrating with me (and you).

Here’s to many more years of celebrating – birthday and New Year Eves – together, with love, laughter, and family!

Happy New Year to everyone. Thank-you for reading my blog. It means so much to me to share my life with you.

May all your wishes come true as you welcome in a New Year.

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And auld lang syne!

Chorus.-For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne.
We’ll take a cup o’ kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.
