What does love look like?

Is it red like a rose?

But I don’t think that is what love looks like at all.

Love can’t be seen……it can only be felt.

Did you feel the love today?

We sure did. The Valentine’s fairy visited our house. The sweet little thing left behind…poems, thoughts, heart bokeh, and this enormous cache of goodies for the girls.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

***I hope to get back to more regular blogging soon. Life is so crazy….I’ll fill you in on all the major happenings soon. Yes. MAJOR happenings.

Let Love Week Begin

Can you think of any better way to start the week than with a heart-shaped chip?

Photo taken at my sister’s house. I am not taking credit for feeding children chips for breakfast. Ahem.

Not to be outdone by her sister. Bridget found a heart chip too.

So when I think of Valentine’s Day and all the LOVE…..I think of Ruffle’s heart chips and my girls. I hope you find something like that. Something small and sweet (or salty). I hope it gets you through the week of LOVE.

And just for fun, here is a look at last year.

Last Valentine’s Day 2011

Happy Monday before Valentine’s Day!

…..And to my Valentine, if you are reading this, I just want a heart-shaped cookie cake with LOTS of icing. You can skip the flowers and fancy dinner. Isn’t that nice of me? It is ALL I want. Cook-ie Cake! Cook-ie Cake! Heh!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Regret

Valentine’s Day cupcakes are here!

I think my New Year’s resolutions are hanging by a thread. Not that I swore off cupcakes or anything, but they certainly don’t help my exercise regimen.

But look at the creamy and moist deliciousness….. so hard to resist.

And isn’t it cute how this cupcake is crazy for me? We met later *wink*wink.

What can I say? I’ll regret the calories, but my sweet tooth has no conscience.

For more takes on the challenge, go to The Daily Post.

No cupcakes were harmed in the making of this post. A few were eaten though.

A Rose is not just a Rose

Delicately treasured, yet strong.

Powerfully artistic, yet affecting.

Intensely emotional, yet mysterious.

Vigorously weak, yet strengthening.

Beautifully robust, yet simple.

The Red Rose can represent true love. A love stronger than thorns.

We have 39 Red Roses on our dining room table.

That’s a lot of love.

A lot of photos yearning for capture.
