A Valentine’s Poem

Roses are Red,
Violets are Blue.
I got a COOKIE CAKE!
How about you?!?

My husband is a sweetheart.
And that is sooooo true.

Daisies are my favorite,
And the mum is nice too.

I am so glad I posted,
And hubby pulled through.

For next year, maybe diamonds?
A carat will do. Just kidding honey!!!

Seriously, all I can say is WOW. It is JUST what I asked for (and who knew he actually reads my blog??? Hi Honey!).

Today, the sun came out and burned off the fog. Today, I was treated to a special gift of thoughtfulness. Today has been a WONDERFUL day (I could be a little high on cookie cake icing).

  12. So sweet! I can’t hear “roses are red…” poems without remembering a poem one of my daughter’s friends put inside a homemade birthday card when they were in middle school:

    Roses are red,
    Violets are blue,
    Some poems rhyme,
    This one doesn’t.
